THE FARSIDE FARM REVIEWS (94 %) Farside Farm by Anonymous, South Africa 11 August 2009 Highly recommended!! Our Stay at Farside Farm by Carien Coetzee, South Africa 30 November 2009 This is a magical place where time stands still and where you are taught the value of relaxation! Graham was the most amazing host, paying attention to detail and great hospitality! Do not really want to recommend it... rather want to keep it to ourselves, but that would not be fair. If you want to visit a surreall place... this is IT! most wonderful relaxed time by Wendy Peel, South Africa 05 January 2017 we had 5 wonderful days at the Dam Cottage at The Farside Farm. We found the cottage to be so much more than we expected and was well equipped and comfortable. We loved the quietness of its location and the stunning views. The cows were a wonderful addition - coming and eating the grass in front of our patio each evening. The cottage was perfect and beautifully decorated - did not want to leave! Wonderful staff too. The only down side was that the main bedroom had a double bed and my husband and I found it a little small - but that is really our problem, not the venues!! Will definitely go back. oh, also very central to meandering!! Great homey feel by Helen Quayle 28 August 2017 We only spent the one night there, but felt right at home. The animals welcomed us as family and were an unexpected treat. Fantastic people by Raymond Mashau 25 March 2018 God bless you, thanks for the hospitality Management Response by Debbie Loots 28 April 2018 Our stay was sadly not a pleasant one. We booked the dam side chalet as we were attending a wedding in the vicinity. The chalet is well sized and next to a lovely little dam but the cleanliness was not good. It needs an upgrade of furniture. The first night we found the showers to be dirty & encrusted with mound and slime. The main bedroom had fish moth crawling all over. When we went to bed that night we found the previous guests bed socks still in the bed and realized the bedding had not been changed since that. The cleaning staff the following day were quite rude following our complaint to management.
On the positive side the owner/management took full ownership of the problem and on the Saturday morning sent in a team to thoroughly clean and fog the cottage while we were out. Ryan himself went down and checked himself that everything was in order. When we checked out Ryan refused to take the balance of our payment and refunded us our deposit as an apology - thank you Ryan.
The breakfast at the main lodge was delicious and well presented and the chef was so pleasant. The location of the dam cottage and the lovely fireplace in the lounge by Roderic Lichkus 08 July 2018 The view from the cottage and the beautiful furniture. THE FARSIDE FARM LOCATION
