Foresters Lodge is situated in the small village of Ugie against the backdrop of the Drakensberg Mountains.

Foresters Lodge offers nine comfortable rooms; all rooms have en-suite bathrooms and are furnished with double or single beds. The Family Room has a double and a single bed. Each room is equipped with a TV with DStv and guests have Wi-Fi access and tea and coffee facilities. For those cold winter nights, each room has a heater as well an electric blanket, and all linen is provided.

Rooms are serviced daily and a laundry service is available free of charge for guests staying longer than one night. An iron and an ironing board are available. For breakfast, guests have the option of a full English breakfast or cereal, yogurts, fruit salad, freshly baked muffins and coffee and tea. Dinner is available on request and we cater for vegetarians and the weight watchers diet. An honesty bar is available and guests have access to secure parking.

Ugie offers a variety of activities. The dams are perfect for trout fishing while the hills provide hours of hiking opportunities. Visitors will enjoy the Gary Kashula tractor museum, the Ugie Methodist Church, the cave trails in Prentjiesberg and Woodcliff, or skiing at the nearby Tiffindell Ski Resort.

Just the TV is a bit small, but that's personal. The washing of my cloths was a urge surprise, 2 mornings no hot water. Can you please send my invoice.

Very basic by

Very basic, no frills accommodation. Room had numerous mosquitos. Noise from the street was a problem. I would equate this B&B to more like backpackers accommodation.

Foresters Lodge by

Firstly the picture depicted on their website bears no resemblance to where we stayed. Very sparsely kitted out for self catering.More backpacking type accommodation, definitely not self catering.
