The splendour of the African bushveld and its mystical setting enfold GeM Bateleur Lodge, making it the perfect base from which to experience exquisite bush life.
There are a number of wildlife to be seen in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, and herds of buffalo, which are one of the African Big 5, can be seen grazing around the lodge. Warthog and impala are amongst the many other wildlife species that leisurely co-exist here, and several waterholes provide a window from where visitors can observe the activities of birds and wildlife.
Hoedspruit boasts a vast range of game reserves, safari drives, birdlife routes and many others attractions. Some of these attractions include the Kapama Game Reserve, Timbavati Private Game Reserve and birding routes stretching from the Kruger National Park to the canyons.
