We wish to inform you that Glenwood Lodge is under construction and a total renovation is happening. Our grand opening is on 15 December 2016 and we welcome all bookings from this period.This beautiful Garden Route country lodge, with majestic oaks and sprawling lawns, is conveniently situated only three km from the centre of George, offering a friendly, relaxing atmosphere with all the facilities to make your stay memorable. Enjoy the peace, tranquillity and beauty of nature at the end of a busy day or relax in front of a cosy fire. Glenwood Lodge consists of rooms, family rooms and suites, each with an en-suite bathroom and double or twin beds. B&B or DBB is available on request and must be pre-booked.On arrival your friendly hosts will show you to your en-suite room or family suite. Open the sliding doors and step out into our beautiful Cape garden which makes for a lovely morning stroll before settling down to a hearty buffet breakfast.Shopping made easy as the Garden Route Mall and other shopping centres are in a radius of 2 km from our Lodge where you can shop to your heart's content, or visit a restaurant and enjoy a meal with your family.The Garden Route has so much to offer, with easy access to the N2, beaches like Victoria Bay, Wilderness and Harolds Bay is just a short drive from Glenwood Lodge. Take a day trip to Knysna and enjoy a ferry trip on the Knysna Lagoon. Wilderness has some of the best sandy beaches in the area. Keen on wildlife? Get close to the big ones at Knysna's Elephant Park, or visit an ostrich or cheetah farm in Oudtshoorn. Greatbrak River, Hartenboss, Mosselbay is in the proximity of 44km.

The water was very much cold, we could not wash properly.

Establishment's response:

Siviwe Pikelela stayed at Glenwood Lodge and wrote a review stating they only had cold water and could not wash properly. I wish he just told us this while he was staying here so we could have investigated the reason for hot water not reaching his room since the section he stayed in, the rooms are all on one big gas geyser. The guest who left that room on Friday had hot water and the guest who arrived on Monday has hot water and is still in the room till Friday. Room 8 is one of our most popular rooms since the view and the cosiness of the room. Maybe they did not understand how to use the mixer.
