Bordering on the coastal Nature Reserve in the Kogelberg Biosphere, on a quiet cul-de-sac with only 7 houses on our section of which only 2 are permanently occupied, we offer an uninterrupted 180 degree panoramic sea-view with additional mountain views behind us. Relax in luxury accommodation in this haven of peace and tranquility. We offer two large bedrooms with all the requisite amenities, a guest lounge and more. These rooms share a very comfortable private lounge, as well as a sea-facing deck - the ideal location from which to watch the Southern Right whales, or enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. There are numerous hiking trails, including the path along the shore from the Palmiet River Mouth to the Kleinmond Beach, and within easy walking distance is the quaint harbour with a variety of tourist attractions. For those who play golf, there are both the Kleinmond and Arabella golf courses. Kleinmond is an ideal spot from which to explore all the charms of the Overberg area. Note: Whilst Kleinmond is in the Western Cape and we endeavour to conserve water, our water source is separate from that of Cape Town and there are presently no water restrictions in Kleinmond.

Warm welcome by friendly owners, even late at night! Lovely comfortable beds and we relaxed in private lounge with a wide variety of books and dstv on rainy nights. Fantastic location - panoramic view on sea. Excellent breakfasts every morning!

The most beautiful, elegant and spacious accommodation with the best views of sea and mountain in Kleinmond! I could say that Herd's Cove is definitely the best place in it's price range that I have stayed at. But it is more . . . it is way above all of them and I am definitely returning every month. I do a monthly 2-week long trip through the Western Cape, staying in a different place every night and Herd's Cove is just something else. I felt like a queen. Thank you, Martie.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at Herd's Cove. The accommodation was very comfortable and the views beautiful. There are very good walks along the shoreline and many good restaurants nearby. Our hosts Martie and Barry were hospitable and very welcoming.  We greatly look forward to our next visit.
