Highover Wildlife Sanctuary is an eco-adventure destination in KwaZulu-Natal that offers you an adrenaline rush as you shoot with white river rapids, experience the thrill of seeing the endangered blue swallows in flight, opt to enjoy the spectacular indigenous tree trail, or relax with a good book.
Highover is an ideal base from which to explore the southern Natal Midlands. This might include Sani Pass, trips on the steam trains, Byrne Village, the Southern Berg and the Umkomaas Valley.
Highover Wildlife Sanctuary offers various self-catering accommodation options including a Lodge, Stone Cottages, Riverside Chalets, Bunkhouses and Camping sites.
We also welcome day visitors who wish to spend a day at the river, walk our tree-spotting trails, view game and birds or simply relax outdoors. Bring your picnic basket or braai equipment along and spend a relaxing day in the bush camp.
Activities include hiking trails, fly fishing, 4x4 trails, tubing, swimming, off-road and quad-biking tracks, mountain biking trails, and lots of picnic spots.
