Honeymoon House

This architecturally "edgy" house is like no other in Lamu. Honeymoon House is an eye-catching house standing on over two acres of waterfront land, and includes a dhow and a speedboat in the quoted price . Features also include a media room, Wi-Fi and iPads for guests' use.

Honeymoon House can accommodate up to 10 guests comfortably and features five en-suite bedrooms with air-conditioning and fans. There are also a further two bathrooms for pool use and the guest sitting room area.

The 100-foot pool is the perfect place for guests to relax and soak up the sun. Honeymoon House has various staff members, including two world-class chefs who can offer Swahili specialities, wonderful fresh food and organic vegetables. Wi-Fi high speed Internet is available in all rooms and sitting areas, and there is also digital satellite television, iPods and CD players, while the media room houses a HD projector, Blue Ray and all region DVD.

Live performances are available to entertain guests at the house, including singing and dancing with the Masai and local Shela Swahili Band. Other activities include day trips to nearby islands, hiking, jogging, markets, and trips to historical Swahili Villages.

In addition, the 28-foot dhow has a captain that knows the waters north and south for 60 miles, as well as a first mate. Guests can go moonlight sailing and water-skiing, or explore the adjacent islands.
