Ingwe Cabin is situated halfway down the Oliviershoek Pass in the Northern Drakensberg, between Little Switzerland and Alpine Heath. This charming cabin is nestled on the Farm Ingwe, high up in the mountains along a 4x4 track.
Ingwe Cabin is a private self-catering cabin located in an unspoilt area of the Drakensberg, with lovely sightings of free-roaming eland, bushbuck, mountain rheebok, baboons, and an abundance of birdlife. The cabin accommodates up to six guests and comprises two bedrooms and an open-plan living rooms and kitchen.
The main bedroom contains a queen-size bed, the second bedroom contains twin single beds and there is also a bunk bed in the living area. These rooms share one bathroom with a bath, basin and flush toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a gas stove and fridge, as well as a sink. There is also a dining table and the open-plan living room contains a fireplace. Outside the cottage is a lovely deck, an outdoor shower and a lapa with barbecue facilities. Under cover parking is provided and a wood-fired donkey provides hot water to the outdoor shower.
Activities in the surrounding area include hiking, bird watching, horse riding, golf, and a recently built dam stocked with rainbow trout makes for great fly-fishing.
