Jacobs Bay Backpackers "The Plot" is situated at Jacobsbaai on the Cape West Coast, 160 km north of Cape Town.We can sleep up to 45 people in Double Rooms , dorms, and A-frame tents. Our facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, a lapa with a big screen TV, indoor and outdoor braai areas and an indoor bar. We are a great venue for bachelors, birthday parties, small weddings and team building. There is a projector and music system available; and hot showers and bedding are included.Jacobsbaai is situated midway between Vredenburg and Saldanha Bay and is an isolated traditional Cape West Coast village. Most of the roads are gravel roads which keeps traffic at a snail's pace; this has resulted in a peaceful little resort town ideal for a weekend getaway or relaxing holiday.

Best backpackers ever! by Amy Gardiner, South Africa 23 September 2013 This really is the best backpackers I've ever been too and I've been a quite a few all over South Africa. Jacobs Bay is such a cute little town and this venue has everything you could desire. They have a bar and TV room separate. They have an awesome fire pit and tons of braai areas and the owners don't mind if you are a noisy bunch. They kitchen area is fully kitted and they even have a table tennis and trampoline. We really had a great time and will definitely be back. Jaine Hannath, South Africa 01 November 2015 Never having "back packed" before I booked 3 nights at Jacobs Bay back packers not really knowing what to expect.It was lovely! I stayed in the tiny Stone House which seemed the most secluded of the various accommodation offered with its view of open fields from the window and adjacent to the vegetable garden. It was perfect for my solo get-away.
The communal kitchen was spotless and more "fully equipped" than any self-catering cottage that I have previously stayed in. The ablutions clean with lovely hot showers.
If you are looking for a relaxing few days away (or longer), by yourself or in a group, just throw a few clothes and books into a bag, buy your groceries on route and go to Jacobs Bay backpackers. You will not be disappointed.

Jacobs Bay by Jonathan Gill, South Africa 31 December 2016 Until recently I had not heard of Jacobs Bay. I thought I "discovered" it using Safari Now and thought I would visit, I needed a cheap isn place to stay and was delighted to discover a Backpackers. For R200 I got a room with a bed to sleep in. The road to Jacobs BAy is tarred and in good condition. The Backpackers is on the main road just before the village. The facility is surrounded the an electric fence so I felt safe. The facility has all the things one would expect at a backpackers and was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Jacobs Bay is lovely. It has a small bay with a good restaurant and some pristine larger beaches. There is a cafe literally next door selling various things including hot meals. The sunsets are to die for and you can see all the stars. The early morning mists give a surreal edge to the village. Would recommend the backpackers as an inexpensive way to stay, if you don't need luxuries of life. Lekker kuierplek by Mare Ascott 03 April 2018 The overall layout was good.
