R 70

Kalahari Water offers an exciting world full of surprising contrasts where the unapproachable desert meets the richness of the Orange River oasis. It is a privately owned eco-adventure tourism development which lies in the middle of a wine farm 4 km off Keimoes, on an island paradise along the Orange River.

We offer a range of accommodation types to suit all guests. First on offer are the 11 fully equipped self-catering units, which sleep from two to four people. For the nature lovers, there is the Bush Camp with four reed and canvas huts alongside the Orange River. These units have no electricity or warm water. The Caravan and camping Park offers sites along the Orange River with options that include and exclude electricity.

A large lapa is also available for functions and events and it can accommodate more than 20 people. Kalahari Water offers plenty of different activities such as canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, angling and birdwatching.

Enjoyed by

We really enjoyed staying at Kalahari Water. It was a self-catering unit and we did not spend much time there as we really only needed a place to sleep. The unit was neat & tidy.

Great bush camp! by

One of the few places where the accommodation actually looks like the photos on the web. We were pleasantly surprised and if I ever venture in that direction again, I will most certainly stop by again.

My Stay @ Kalahari Water by

I would just like to thank Bernard for the warm welcome @ Kalahari Water! Myself and my family enjoyed the tranquility of this awesome farm! It was a well deserved holiday that we will never forget and will visit again! Thanks to all the staff of Kalahari Water! And a great thanks to Shirley!

A favourite shady, lovely spot by

Second year we've started our epic December road trip by staying at Kalahari Water. Always a pleasure. The camp sites that we book (on the dam) are great, with shade from the vineyard. We even had some excellent fishing this time. Ablutions in great shape, and being regularly cleaned, which is fantastic. Will definitely stay again should our road take us there. Recommended! Even if you're keen to see Augrabies, we think this is the better spot to stay though it is about 70km away from the park.
