Kandili Camp

Kandili Camp is a beautiful eco-camp overlooking the mottled plains of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, a short walk away from the world-famous Leopard Gorge. It is an intimate tented camp, designed to provide total comfort and a sensation of being part of the great African wilderness.

The camp offers six luxury tents with en-suite bathrooms, hot showers and solar electricity. All the tents are decorated in African style, set among scattered acacia trees overlooking the savannah. Our guests enjoy wildlife viewing right from their terrace, seated on a comfortable sofa or a deck chair.

There are incredible views of the Olooloo escarpment and of the Mara plains, with the great migration of over a million wildebeests and zebras between June and October. We offer a complete immersion in nature with animals walking around freely in front of the tents. The camp has been designed to minimize the environmental impact and in particular doesn't interfere with the wildlife habitation in the gorge.

Common areas include a large dining room with a west-facing bar area, a small library and a living area for a relaxed evening. Excellent food, personalized and warm services and traditional Kenyan hospitality further compliment the prime location.

Guests can freely walk in our conservancy and enjoy the stunning views of the mottled plains of the Maasai Mara national reserve and the Ololoo escarpment. Guests can also learn more about the Maasai people, proud shepherds and warriors, many of whom still retain their traditional nomadic lifestyle.
