Karoo Retreat

Karoo Retreat is an upmarket self-catering house situated in Oudtshoorn and ideal for families and groups. Oudtshoorn is a central base for activities and sightseeing in the surrounding area. The guest house is available on a per-room basis or as a whole.

This exclusive guest house offers four comfortable bedrooms opening onto a large patio. The rooms are cooled by air-conditioning and ceiling fans, and each has its own en-suite bathroom. The house is ideal for two couples with children as the four rooms are divided by a large living area with leather sofas, a large dining area and a fireplace, giving privacy to separate groups of guests but still feeling intimate.

The kitchen adjoins the living room and has all the equipment needed for a comfortable stay. The house is surrounded by indigenous rock and aloe plants, and the trees provide shade all year round. The guest house overlooks our own organic vegetable garden as well as the swimming pool, giving the property a lovely country feel.

Karoo Retreat is child friendly and ideal for functions and workshops. As the guest house is on a quiet street, it is safe for strolls around the neighbourhood or a bit of cycling with the kids. We offer laundry services, babysitting, cleaning services and breakfast baskets on request, as well as braai facilities for some self-catering á la carte dining.
