KASA La-Mer is a traditional-styled double storey bungalow situated in the tranquil resort of Anchors Aweigh, overlooking the picturesque town of Hibberdene. Hibberdene is located on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, approximately 90 km south of Durban. This self-catering bungalow is furnished with all the necessary basics for your holiday and can accommodate up to a maximum of six guests. The bungalow contains two bedrooms with a double bed in the first, two single beds in the second and another double bed in the lounge area. There is also one bathroom with bath and shower. Guests need to provide own towels and linen. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and includes a microwave and fridge, while the lapa includes a dining table and chairs as well as a private braai area. The unit also features a small deck or sitting area on the first floor. The Anchors Aweigh resort is situated among the trees with plenty of bird life and its own swimming pool. The swimming beach has blue flag status and is within walking distance.

KASA La-Mer is situated in a very peaceful and secure environment. We have really enjoyed our stay very much. I would recommend KASA La-Mer to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and affordable holiday at the south coast of South Africa.




We had a wonderful weekend and would definitely book again soon! Would recomend it to anyone!  Close to the beach and lovely walking trail. 

A nice tranquil stay by

It would be advisable to advise prospective clients that they should bring bedding as well as linnen . There was no policy statement as regards departure . If dishwashing etc is expected , dishwashing liquid etc should be provided or at least , instruction to supply your own should be conveyed . Otherwise a nice stay.

Thank you for the review Mr. Stipcich. Had you read through the information I emailed you before your stay, where all your comments were addressed, you would have been informed as to what to expect.




Sitting on the deck in the evening by

Resort is quite nice however they should have a map in each bungalow so that you know where everything is. The braai grid was dirty (Not cleaned from previous use) and the area around the bungalow was very dusty (Had not been cleaned in a while. We also suggest a Key Box so that visitors can drop off the key in the box when leaving as opposed to waiting until the caretaker/admin is available for the drop off. Other wise very pleasant.

Thank you for your suggestions Mr. Olivier. We will definitely look into implementing that. With the current drought and water restrictions imposed by the local municipality, it is difficult to keep the surroundings dust free. We purposely leave the braai grid a bit greasy to prevent it from rusting. KASA La-Mer.
