Kondensmelk is a beautiful restored "dorpshuisie" that sleeps up to eight guests. The home offers an authentic small-town experience and is located just three blocks from the beautiful Vaal River and a mere 300 m from the town's main road, with its antique dealers, gift shops and great eateries.
The house features original wooden floors and ceilings, and is decorated simply and tastefully, with lots of quirky touches. Accommodation is offered in three bedrooms. The main bedroom is very spacious, with a king-sized bed, French doors leading onto a small patio, and a brand new en-suite bathroom. Both the other bedrooms have a double and a single bed, sleeping 3 guests each. Room 2 and 3 share a shower and loo. The house also has a spacious living room with fireplace, a newly renovated kitchen and a wraparound veranda with a BBQ and patio furniture for al fresco dining. Off-street, undercover parking for two cars behind motorised gates is also provided.
The large stand boasts a typical small-town garden with lots of fruit trees and lawn for kids to run around on. Full bouquet DSTV (HD) and a flat-screen TV comes in handy on rainy or lazy days. A rather unique feature of Kondensmelk is the ?Damcuzzi? - a small "farm dam? pool with inbuilt seating so that guests can relax by sitting in the water, enjoying a glass of chilled wine on hot summer's days. The idea with Kondensmelk, is to offer an authentic platteland stay for city folk. Personal touches, like mini koeksister on the pillows and a tin of condensed milk for your coffee as a welcoming gift, add to the overall experience.
