Kransberg Country Lodge is situated 2.5 hours from Central Gauteng 25km outside the town Thabazimbi in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. It is the divide between the wild South African bushveld to its east and the great Botswana plains to its west. The lodge offers a tranquil getaway on the border of the Marakele National Park. It is most popular for its remote location below the majestic 200m high cliffs that acts as a breeding ground for a large colony of the endangered species of Cape Vulture.
The lodge is on a plateau in the Waterberg Mountains at an altitude of 1500m. The temperature here is approximately 6 degrees cooler than in the valley below in summer months with winter also being milder.It is an ideal restful countryside breakaway for those wanting to escape the stresses of work to spend a few days relaxing in the beautiful surroundings of the lodge.The lodge is often used as a base from where day trips can be made to explore the area.
