Kruger Cottage

Marloth Park Conservancy, Mpumalanga, South Africa
Self-catering (family units from R 950)
R 950

This quaint thatched cottage is situated in the tranquil nature reserve near the southern boundary of the world-famous Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River. A five-minute walk 150 meters from the cottage will bring you to an elevated view of the Crocodile River and the Kruger National Park.

Marloth Park properties are not fenced and have a large variety of wildlife that roams freely between the houses. You will be fascinated by giraffes, warthogs, zebras, impalas, monkeys and kudu, as well as the abundance of bird life when sitting under the lapa or at the pool. At night you will hear the roar of lions and the snake of hippos sitting around the fire at the lapa.

Kruger Cottage is in Marloth Park, about an hour's drive 105km from Nelspruit and the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and five hours drive from Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport.

Enjoy an exclusive three-bedroom self-catering thatched cottage. The main bedroom is en-suite and has a double bed, and the other two rooms have two single beds and en-suite bathrooms. There is a sleeper couch in the lounge, which means that the house can accommodate eight people. The open-plan kitchen and lounge area is spacious and leads to a large thatch-recreation area with a splash pool and a braai where you can relax and watch the wildlife stroll through the gardens. All windows have mosquito nets and are monkey files.
The rooms and lounge area have powerful ceiling fans. A double carport is available.

The house has an alarm and Field Security offers a 24-hour response service.

You will be conveniently close to the Crocodile Bridge Komatiepoort and the Malelane entrance gates of the Kruger National Park. We are about one hour from the Swaziland border and 20 minutes from the Mozambique border.

Marloth Park also has its own fenced game reserve. Lionspruit has the more dangerous animals, including lions, buffalo, rhino and leopard.

An afternoon game trip along the nearby Crocodile River will enable you to see the abundance of game and bird life through the Kruger's wire. Marloth Park has its own enclosed game reserve, Lionspruit, with dangerous animals such as lions, buffalo, rhinos and leopards.

Marloth Park has its own Bush Center with restaurants, a large TV bar, a large swimming pool, petrol station, laundry self-help, pay per kilogram, liquor store, butcher, home-made products and two supermarkets for basic necessities.

Our stay at Kruger Cottage - Marloth Park by

Very comfortable, and enjoyable stay at the cottage. Wonderful experience with the game right at your door. Terribly hot - would have been fantastic if the air conditioner worked.....but that is all part of being in Africa. No mosquitos in the cottage at all - as long as doors are kept closed.

Very private by

Stayed night of 27/3/2010. Very private. Good value for money. Host was very interested in our stay, and provided ample details regarding direction and other useful tips. Followed up to ensure we arrived safely.

Worth every cent by

Our stay at Kruger cottage was amazing. Everything was perfect. the pool was a lifesaver as well as the corner bath. We especially adored the zebra and Vlakvark coming to our door for snacks. You cant buy that kind of nature anywhere or at any other accommodation. The rooms where cosy and neat and tidy. The only suggestion would be to install air conditioner in the rooms. Other than that, there was nothing to complain about. We where so impressed, we have decided to book again with Joan in 2 months time.

We had a car accident in the Kruger National park during our stay, Joan was on the ball trying to assist us with an extra day accommodation and tracking down car mechanics to assist us. She was going the extra mile and that kind of service is hard to find. Furthermore Joan was very informative and made an effort to call us and tell us about all of the animals that come to visit and where we should go and what we should see. Thank you for excellent service and a beautiful place to stay. We have now found a new favourite.

Kruger Cottage is a nice and cosy place.

Everything was comfortable and clean.

We had lovely two days in Marloth Park and time was much to short.

Watching the animals close by was amazing.

Joan thank you very much for all the additional Information provided!
