Along the shores of Lake Jipe, the Lake Jipe Bandas are exclusively located with the Pare Mountains to the south, Chala Crater rising from the east, and Kilimanjaro towering over the north eastern skyline.

Accommodation is rustic and offers basic self-catering facilities with communal ablutions. Offering three units, each is equipped with two single beds, mosquito nets, water for cooking, kerosene lamps, utensils and cooking ware.

Guests are required to bring along their own drinking water, a gas cooker, candles, flash lights, insect repellent, food, beverages, firewood and charcoal.
