Lalapanzi Guest House

Lalapanzi Guest House is considered St Lucia's little paradise. This old Victorian house has six comfortable bedrooms with air-conditioning, tea and coffee trays, ceiling fans, fridges and hairdryers. All the rooms have en-suite with baths, showers or both. The house has DStv in the lounge, a reading area, laundry services and safe parking.

A generous breakfast is served on a wooden deck with a view over the saltwater rock swimming pool and beautiful forest garden. There is an abundance of birds and small animals and this garden will be sure to astound you. The Milky Way lights up the sky at night and there is a braai facility with tables and chairs under the trees.

Guests can enjoy hippo and crocodile trips on the estuary, whale watching in season, horse trails and a crocodile park; hiking trails, night drives in Cape Vidal, snorkelling, deep sea fishing and Zulu cultural tours. There are also Turtle Tours in season and off-road trips. Explore the wetlands with qualified guides or by yourself; the information you can get at the office is provided from experience. The Hluhluwe and Umfolozi Game Parks are approximately 60 km from St Lucia and Cape Vidal is only 32 km, making it an ideal stopover.

There are banks, grocery store, petrol station, post office, police station and doctors, as well as good quality restaurants. The weather is good most of the year and nature is always at its best. St Lucia is a small town that is big in adventure and will cater for any tourist.
