La Montagne is a large holiday resort situated on the Dolphyn coast, 15 kilometers from King Shaka International Airport. The resort offers a family holiday destination by the seaside, with a wide variety of activities and facilities available to guests.Guest can book either a studio apartment of two bedroom apartment, both fully equipped for self-catering. The apartments are all well-equipped and fully air-conditioned. Guest have a private patio with braai facilities and either sea views or views of the garden and swimming pool.The resort includes a restaurant which also offers room service. There is a wellness retreat and theatre club, squash courts, childrens' play center and a daily entertainment program for the whole family. The beach is just a short walk away.There will be refurbishment work ongoing with the Pool at La Montagne up until 22nd September.Please add to the note that the pool will be out of order and that there will be noise and building work during this period.NOTE - La Montagne will have no lifts, on either side of the building from the 09th of October 2017 until 10 December 2017. This is due to the lifts been replaced. .

Swimming in the ocean by

The apartment we stayed in was old and rundown...room 404,hardly any sea view,aircon not good broken toilet seat,mould on the walls,smelly...most of the employes of LA Montagne are friendly and helpfull,we had dinner @ the Crayfish in...they were overpriced and the food terrible.Good entertainment for kids and close to the beach.

Never going back by

My boyfriend and I will never go back. The booking process was a nightmare, we had to wait for ages and after numerous angry emails I finally got someone to confirm my booking. On arrival there was someone else in our parking bay. The reception staff and guys taking our bags were friendly but that was about all the compliments that I can give. The balconies are shared so there's no privacy. We had other guests look into our room even though we had our balcony door and the first curtain closed. When my boyfriend went down to reception at night the manager on duty was discussing our relationship status and asking the receptionist if we are married (referring to us as "the indian woman and white guy"). Furthermore they were beyond insulting by saying that I look like a child, to say that my boyfriend was insulted would be an understatement. At the restuarant we had to wait for ages to get our food even though it was empty and our order kept getting mixed up. Our access card did not open the parking gate and one of the guards had to assist. At night when we wanted to bath, the hot water ran out (extremely fast) and the bath had a leak because the water drained out even though we plugged it. Needless to say we will never go back.

The friendliness of the Staff by

We wanted additional accommodation and were informed none available but not true the Studio next to our Double was free for our entire stay.

The weather by

the complex is rather old and the passages are dingy. The apartments have been refurbished and look great but they are very small. We only stayed one night and I would not recommended for more.
