Nestled secretively in a valley that is lush with vineyards, forests, abundant water and ancient oak trees, lies Langverwagt - a historic working farm. It is not far from Cape Town boasting spectacular views of Table Mountain.

Langverwagt, also historically known as Lang Verwacht and Langverwacht, is a place of quiet charm and famed elegance, ideally suited for the weary traveller, businessperson or tourist. It is also well-known for hosting exclusive and memorable weddings. Although essentially a country residence situated in the Cape Winelands, this proud establishment is close to Cape Town and it's international airport, all major highways and some of the finest and most modern amenities and sports facilities.

Several exclusive and popular family-style restaurants are within easy reach, as are a range of international standard leisure locations including a casino, famous wine farms and theme parks. The Cape's unspoilt beaches, towering mountains and rugged coastline from Cape Point to the top of Table Mountain are an easy drive away.

Each morning, a sumptuous farm breakfast is served within view of the splendid garden. The eggs served for your breakfast are laid by our free-range indigenous chickens and we bake our scrumptious bread in an old-fashioned wood fire oven. A Little Gem by

Had a lovely tranquil stay at this rustic, farmstyle accommodation. It included a huge breakfast with a view, with the most organic looking eggs I have seen in a while.

A very pleasant stay by

We stayed for a week and it was a very pleasant stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent and the accommodation was good with a very well done mix of getting the modern requirements to fit with the old building and furniture.

   


There were quite a few bird species by

It was a lovely tranquil area and Jeanette was a lovely hostess. It was like being in the country.
