Great experience in rural Lesotho by

Great place to see the "real Africa". Rural area. Beautiful landscape. The houses are nice and comfortable and situated in the middle of a small and traditional Lesotho village with round houses. There is no electricity in the houses but there are gas lamps. We had to shower with cold water, but there is a possibility to heat the water, so if this is important to you, you should make sure that this works in advance. People are really nice and eager to show you around and tell you about their village and region and traditions. Very interesting. You may also do guided pony rides into the mountains. Be prepared that things might take a while and that you might have to wait a while for breakfast or the ponies or whatever. But after all, it´s vacation, right? The houses are equipped with a kitchen, so you may bring your own food and prepare your meals. There are no "western" shopping opportunities nearby, so you may wanna bring the marmalade that you like for breakfast or whatever is important to you. If you want, breakfast, lunch and dinner is prepared for you. After all this was one of the most interesting experiences of my trip to Southern Africa and though there might be some things that you are not used to from your "European/American B&B/Hotel-experience" I can highly recommend it.

Home in the mountains by

We have stayed at Lapeng Ma-mosa and we have enjoyed it very much. The people are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The sheets were clean and ironed. The showers were hot and the pressure was good. I can highly recommend this place to stay. We took our own food so we did not have a problem with finding food stores or anything. We drove to Semonkong for the day and it was nice coming back and the guard was waiting for us.

Amazing place by

Very cozy place in a small African village. Felt completely safe the entire time. Very friendly welcome. The conditions of the hut seem to be deteriorating slightly and need some maintenance. No hot water available in our hut so we had to shower in the hut next door. Additionally we had to improvise as the place was insufficiently stocked with cutlery. Be aware that the village has no electricity and light is provided by solar lamps which in our cases wasn't charged. However the experience of sleeping in a rural African village was amazing and out-ways all the minor issues.

exceptional by

We had a wonderful stay. Their hospitality is exceptional. The rooms is 5star and the scenery beautiful.
