Magalies Sleepy River is situated along the banks of the Magalies River which flows through natural vegetation with indigenous trees that provide shade for picnic areas and caravan and camping sites.There are no rooms or any other accommodation, only camping sites. You have to supply your own caravan or tents, and camping gear.The caravan and camping sites are supplied with electrical points and braai facilities and are set among the trees and near to the ablution blocks. The ablution blocks contain toilets, baths, showers and laundry basins and sinks.Guests can enjoy a dip in the large sparkling pool and then relax or play games on the surrounding expanse of lawn. The change rooms and shaded parking are conveniently situated for these facilities.There is a small kiosk where ice, wood, alcohol, soft drinks, Craft beer and ice cream are sold.There are paths for those who like to walk and enjoy the natural scenery, with lots of wild birds to gaze at. The Cradle of Humankind, Maropeng and Sterkfontein caves are close by.

Lekker kamp by

Dit was lekker, die badkamers is skoon en netjies, soms was daar nie toiletpapier nie maar dis nie die einde van die wereld nie. Staproete was nie wat ek verwag het nie. Kan bietjie meer aktiwieteite kry om te doen. Maar dit was die moeite werd. Wil ook dankie se vir die pan wat ons kon leen toe ons ons sin vergeet het, asook die buns wat ons gekry het.

Very freindly staff, everything is clean. It was a bit hard to locate the actual campsite because one can just pick a spot. But no trouble at all. The pool area and the playground could be better maintained Overall a nice getaway for cradle of humankind

Relaxing time under the trees by

We had a lovely Easter long weekend at Sleepy River. The sites were lovely and shady, and ablutions were clean. Kids had loads of fun up at the pool. We unfortunately had trashy neighbours who fought and swore at each other constantly which spoiled the otherwise perfect weekend. Unfortunately nothing the establishment could do about that though!

It was ok but it still needs alot of work , the showers and tiolets always dirty. We were intimidated by dogs all the time, I was even afraid to go to the bathroom

Our ablutions are cleaned everyday from 08h00-16h00.
My cleaners were complimented on the cleanliness of the bathrooms.
I am really sorry that you did not bring it under my attention while you were at the resort.
Our resort is pet friendly, as stated on our website.
We have never had any problems with any of the dogs visiting our resort.
The dogs really help to keep the monkeys out of the camping area.
