Makolobay

Makolobay is set in one of the most picturesque areas in Mozambique, with swaying coconut palms and casuarinas, and spectacular views of secluded, unspoilt beaches.

All the units of Makolobay have electricity, warm and cold water, as well as verandas with sea views. Outside showers are also available. All the rooms have double beds, fans and mosquito nets and some units have single beds in the lounge area, without fans. Linen is provided but guests have to bring their own bath and swimming towels. Braai or gas braai facilities are available to all units.

The warm waters are safe to swim in and the wide open, sun-drenched beaches offer endless hours of strolling pleasure. Out to sea, the nearby reef is home to hundreds of fish species including the manta ray and the whale shark. Fishing and diving enthusiasts may hire boats from the nearby Tofo village, while surfers share the surf with bottlenose dolphins. For shopping, you can visit the nearby town of Inhambane where there are some excellent but fairly basic shops, as well as a good number of cafés and restaurants.

This is a truly excellent destination in which to relax and get away from the bustle of city life.
