Meerkat Compound is situated within walking distance of the centre of Kakamas. We offer eight spacious, fully equipped cottages with either one or two bedrooms. The cottages can accommodate up to six people each.

One thing that bothered was the aircon. Even on its lowest fan speed it is noisy, blowing a lot of air around. Couldn't sleep while it was on.
Swithing it off you quickly start sweating. Ended up having very little sleep.
Nice touch was the free coffee and tea.
Would I recommend it?
Yes. But bring earplugs for the aircon and mosquito repellent. Marius was very helpful and gave us ideas of where to find pizzas in Kakamas (6 teenagers were craving pizzas!) The units were spotlessly clean, very spacious and exceptionally well equipped. The air conditioning was appreciated by all! Would definitely recommend A pleasant comfortable stay by Jim De Villiers 15 June 2018 The owner was helpful and friendly. The room was well equipped and clean and there was even fresh milk in the fridge. The only problem was the traffic noise as Meerkat is situated next to the main road .
