Situated in a dramatic seafront setting, The Mitford offers unparalleled views onto the waves, rocks and cliffs. With 14 unique units ranging in size from small to large, up to eight people can be accommodated comfortably.
The self-catering units each have a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, a stove, a toaster, a kettle and cooking/eating utensils. The large deck in front of the dining room is a favourite place for dolphin watching, and the perfect place to sip a sundowner at the end of the day.
Braai facilities are conveniently located around the premises and there is a pool table adjacent to the bar. There are no radios or telephones in the flats - with the natural attractions on your doorstep, they are considered superfluous - however, there are several TVs in the communal areas. A basic cleaning service is provided and a laundrette is available for full service.
Good fishing, safe sea bathing, surfing, both gentle and invigorating walks, and birdwatching are all within easy walking distance. Tennis, squash, bowls and golf activities are available at nearby Kei Mouth, which also has an aircraft landing strip. The nearby Double Mouth Nature Reserve is an attraction for shell collectors, who sometimes also find semi-precious Carnelian beads and shards of Ming china which are still washed ashore from early shipwrecks.
Morgan's Bay has the unspoilt beauty and seclusion of the Wild Coast, and is renowned for its pristine white beaches and dunes. The topography is delightfully varied with a large, tranquil tidal lagoon, expansive beaches, rugged rocks and magnificent sea cliffs.
