Situated perfectly to give a real feeling of peace and quiet while being close enough to get to everything in the town.
In addition we left an important (and expensive) piece of medical equipment in the cottage when we left. Margie (the owner) really went above and beyond in arranging to have the equipment shipped to us in Cape Town.
We can unreservedly recommend Mooiuitzicht as a great place to stay!

You can do better by Ursula Carroll, South Africa 20 June 2016 The accommodation is really lovely, BUT we stayed there for three days without any hot water. It was freezing cold and we could not even bath. The agent I'm sure was well aware of the problem, and full of excuses. { See guest book in house}. It is a lovely place but the little negatives outweigh the positives. Until that is rectified I cannot recommend Mooi Uitzight at this stage.
Establishment Response:
1. Guests did not complain about lack of hot water on their first night.
2. Was called in the morning to say no water. It was a very cold night and water pipes freeze. Asked guests to let me know if they had any issues later in the day..
3. In the late afternoon they called to say there was no hot water. I contacted my handyman but he was only able to come the following morning. I offered the guests the use of a bathroom at another guest house. The guests refused. I also offered guests a discount which was accepted. The bathing facilities were reoffered and yet again refused.
4. The following morning the handyman removed the heating element and showed me the corrosion that caused the problem. We managed to obtain another one in the village and it has been refitted and all is in order.
I found the lack of understanding by this guest very trying. I too was upset that this had happened but it was an unavoidable incident and I was certainly unaware that it had occurred. We had had guests leave the house 2 days before and had had no problems.
