Mount Joy Cottages

Mount Joy Cottages is situated in Knysna, which is a natural paradise of lush, indigenous forests, tranquil lakes and golden beaches. We offer two cottages; the Main Cottage sleeps a maximum of four guests and the Studio Cottage sleeps a maximum of three guests.

Our Main Cottage is extremely spacious and has been luxuriously finished and furnished. There is a king-size bed, a sleeper couch in the living room and a bathroom. It has a tasteful open-plan, yellow wood kitchen and is equipped with a microwave, TV and DVD player.

The Studio Cottage has a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a single sleeper couch and a bathroom with a bath and shower. It is extremely cosy and comes with a small, but adequately equipped kitchen and living area.

Whilst overlooking the beautiful Knysna Lagoon, our cottages are also perched high on a hill, in a large and magical garden surrounded by forest. They are certainly not typical holiday cottages and have been lovingly constructed and furnished to provide you with a homely atmosphere. There are barbecue facilities for your enjoyment.

It is our pleasure to share our peaceful retreat with you and we have therefore created an atmosphere of beauty, privacy, mystique and convenience, always with safety as an essential priority. You are only a short 10-minute walk from the centre of town, yet at the same time entirely removed from its noisy hustle and bustle.

For your ultimate relaxation and well-being, we recommend that you treat yourself to some sessions with our European-trained therapist who provides aromatherapy, reflexology, meditation sessions and Swedish massage by prior appointment in her studio on the premises.
