Mpingo Farm Stay

Mpingo Farm Stay is a friendly, African-style farm situated in the scenic Vikawe Village, midway between Dar Es Salaam and Bagamoyo. The Farm Stay is set on several acres of conserved natural habitat with lots of indigenous trees, mainly Africa Black Wood (Mpingo in Swahili) from which it draws its name.

We can accommodate up to 16 guests in intentionally simple, yet very comfortable cottages. The cottages are modest and artistically decorated with locally sourced accessories and handmade log furniture. The peaceful and beautiful setting immediately soothes your soul, connects you to nature and makes you release the stresses of real everyday life.

The farm has an excellent kitchen which prepares delicious meals. Our resident chef prepares all meals and will be happy to share his recipes with you. We offer juice and other soft drinks from our dispensing bar. Guests are allowed to bring their drinks of choice other than the soft drinks offered. The lounge facility has a stylish sitting and dining area.

The 40-acre Mpingo Farm Stay is a wonderful place to go for walks and explore. For the more adventurous who prefer active holidays we offer all sorts of outdoor activities.
