Mzingazi Lake B&B is located in the City of Umhlathuze in Richards Bay, about 1.3 km from the Richards Bay Airport and 4.5 km from the city centre. The lovely guest house is ideal for business travellers and tourists looking for comfortable accommodation in a private and tranquil environment.

Accommodation comprises a choice of eight en-suite rooms, each with a double bed and TV with DStv. Six of the en-suite units also offer self-catering facilities, with an open-plan lounge and a kitchen equipped with appropriate appliances such as a stove, fridge, microwave and kettle. A full traditional sumptuous breakfast is served, supplemented with fruits and juices to ensure that guests enjoy the many activities available in the area. Dinner is also available on request. Features also include barbecue facilities and a playground, and security is also provided for guests' peace of mind.

Richards Bay offers a variety of activities, and wildlife can be viewed at Umzingazi Lake. The guest house is also within easy reach of the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve and St Lucia World Heritage Site.

Spotless accommodation by

Very clean and neat; friendly people. Very difficult to find place without a GPS - luckily a local guy showed us the way, as it is situated in a township without clear directions.

Self catering by

Service was just average, was disappointed with the self catering facilities as not all the utensils required where readily available. Self catering is more like a home away from home.



The unit was clean, only some cutlery and crockery were missing for a self catering. But even if in a township the place was very quiet and tidy. I went jogging in the morning alone and I enjoyed.

Creepy location by

The people were amazing and the room big and clean but the area is creepy and dangerous and I would not advise single ladies to go there on their own...
