Namaqualand Country Lodge is located in Vanrhynsdorp, in the very heart of Namaqualand. We are renowned for our warm hospitality and delicious meals in a relaxed atmosphere.

We have a variety of rooms to suit all travelers. After settling in, join us at our ladies bar where you can relax while playing pool and darts, or watch DStv and enjoy a cold beverage. Come and have a look at the second largest Tie collection in the world. In summer, the best place to be is at the bar, where you can enjoy a sundowner whilst relaxing under the lapa. We offer secure parking for guest vehicles.

Namaqualand Country Lodge provides a base for tourists to better explore the region that includes Namaqualand, West Coast, Olifants River Valley, Knersvlakte, Gifberg, Maskamberg, Kobee, and Matzikama with numerous hiking trails, historical buildings, and rock art to be explored. With all of our facilities, Namaqualand Country Lodge truly provides every guest's needs at very affordable rates.

We are approximately 300 km north of Cape Town and 270 km south of Springbok.

The room was not supplied with things like water, coffees and teas, toilet soap. Toilet was not fixed even though we pointed out the problem - we were told just not to flush it during the night. Food not great and waitress uninformed about items on menu.

Country hospitality by

I can truly recommend this lodge as a stay-over on your way to the Northen Cape or Namibia. It was an extremely hot day on the 21st of December 2012 and I was very grateful for the air conditioner in my room which worked perfectly well as was the hair dryer and coffee/tea facilities. The linen was fresh,the mattress comfortable, the shower hot, the pool crystal clear and the beer ice cold. Mike, the very friendly young man at reception was most helpful assisting me with my Kobo and offered a fresh pot of coffee on arrival. It was the 1st time that I was charged for safe parking, but I did not mind, because my car was packed.

Wonderful service! We arrived late in the evening but the staff were more than happy to help us. We thoroughly enjoyed our quick overnight stay at the lodge.



Reception was good and helpfull. Room clean but everything old and needs some tender loving care. Supper good and salat exellent.
Compared to other accommodation Upington and now Lambertsbaai/Malkopbaai was a bit expennsive.

Our stay at the Namaqualand Country Lodge was nothing short of spectacular. The service was incredible. Everybody working there as well as the guests were very friendly and we felt at home. Thank you for this incredible weekend. I will definitely recommend.

Ons het baie goeie diens gekry. Kamers was netjies en skool. Al die personeel was vriendelik e n hulpvaardig.
