NdabiriMsuna, Matabeleland North, Zimbabwe Self-catering from R 2,692 (family units from R 2,692) | R 2,692 |
Ndabiri is a complex consisting of four self-catering thatched chalets, set amongst big shady trees in a beautiful lawned garden, within the lovely Msuna Birding and Fishing Island Resort which is situated on the banks of the Mighty Zambezi River, upstream of Devils Gorge and Lake Kariba and is approximately a 2 hour drive from Victoria Falls.
Our thatched chalets are all detached self-catering units which are open-planned with fully equipped kitchenettes and all overlook the Zambezi River. There are two 1 bedroom chalets and two 2 bedroom chalets which have air-conditioning and ceiling fans throughout and each bedroom has en-suite shower facilities.
The chalets are serviced daily and our friendly staff, Yesani and Shupa are also here to assist with basic cooking needs and making of fires and other basic services as required. This service is included in our rates.
We also supply cooler box and drinking ice at no extra charge.
There is a lovely braai pit and bar area/lapa with a small sparkling pool, which overlooks the Zambezi and is shared amongst the chalets within the Ndabiri complex.
This is a great place to just relax during the day, if not out fishing, or to watch the abundant bird life.
Please ask Yesani for a list of birds that have been spotted in the area if you are a keen birder.
In the evening you can enjoy an amazing sunset cruise on the river or you can just sit back and enjoy sundowners at the bar area, in the pool or around a lovely mopane fire.
We do have the sports channels at the bar for those who enjoy watching their sport.
The Lapa/Bar area is also a limited WiFi Hotspot from 6-8am, 12-2pm and 6-8pm.
Mopane firewood is available from the Msuna office at $4 per wheelbarrow load. Please ask Shupa to arrange this for you.
We also offer a laundry service at $5 per medium load which includes ironing and folding. Please arrange this service with Yesani.
There is a small shop on the Island with very basic supplies and also a variety of limited mixers, soft drinks, beers and liquor available for sale at the Msuna Office.
Msuna Island is in a malaria area and although the chalets all have mosquito nets, please ensure that you take the necessary precautions.
