N'KWAZI LODGE AND CAMPING SITE REVIEWS (84 %) A very good place to make a stopover by Gunter Kallfass, Germany 23 March 2006 The people there are very friendly and they try to do their best! Nkwazi Lodge review by Anton Olivier, Namibia 02 May 2006 Thanks Wynand and Valerie for a wonderful 2 days! Beautiful setting by Denise Higginbotham 26 September 2017 Rooms were very comfortable; staff very accommodating; gardens and birding top class. Dinner way too expensive. Cheaper a la carte options would be beneficial. Dit was soos n oase toe ons daar aankom by Maria Basson 04 January 2018 Wat n pragtige plek...vriendelik, skoon en heerlike kos. River view by Tom & Mien Bruwer 13 June 2018 The place is in desperate need of a responsible and ACTIVE manager as it"s totally up to staff to see to everything. The staff is honestly dedicated and we enjoyed the most fantastic breakfast. The place itself is however not well- run - tired looking and in need if attention. Establishment Response Regarding the review left by Mr & Mrs Bruwer, I would like to thank them for their time spent at Nkwazi, and for all the positive ?Thumps Up?. Unfortunately for them they did not partake in any activities offered, and choose to make Nkwazi only a sleep-over, instead of a memory-making stay. (I normally greet all my guests during dinner time, but since they did not have dinner with us I never saw them, so I could not rate them). I would however like to comment on the written part of their review, and you can post it if you feel like it: The fact that they gave ?Thumbs Up? to everything, must mean that I, as manager and owner of Nkwazi Lodge, am doing something right. Who else is responsible for teaching and training our staff to be so self-reliant and capable to manage on their own that I do not have to look over their shoulders the whole time, and to be so very dedicated to the needs of our guests? Who else is responsible for making sure that our chalets are clean and comfortable? Who else is responsible for making sure that the kitchen staff is well trained and organised and equipped to make these fantastic breakfasts that our guests enjoy so much? And who else is responsible for making sure that our prices are in line with the surrounding Lodges and that we offer value for our guests' money? I know there is still a lot of upgrading that has to be done, but unfortunately we are a very small family-owned establishment, working on a day-to-day basis, employing and supporting 30-plus workers with their families and their extended families (ours is a very poor community, and as soon as one member of a family gets employment, the rest of the family and extended family comes to live with that one person for financial support), so I can only do as much as my budget allows. On the river bungalows by Danie Roux 18 July 2018 Excellent food and beutifull surroundings GREAT STOPOVER by Jo Sievers 03 October 2018 The great view from Chalet 19, the sunset, good food, friendly, helpful service. Thank you Pieter and team. Will certainly visit again. I left my mobile phone in Chalet 19, Nkwazi emailed me before we arrived in Waterberg and forwarded it to me in Swakopmund. Fantastic - Thank you again. N'KWAZI LODGE AND CAMPING SITE LOCATION
