For a refreshing stopover when travelling in Northern Cape en route to and from Windhoek, Johannesburg, Cape Town to the Kgalagardi Trans frontier Park. In the middle of the dry expanse of the Kalahari basin lays the green oasis of Kuruman. In its centre is the famous Eye of Kuruman, an inexhaustible sweet water fountain, which has never dried out, even in the longest drought periods, and produces daily 20 million litres of water. Golf course and game drive nearby and Eye of Kuruman fountain.

AMAZIAH GASTENHUIS RECENSIES (76 %) Amaziah - Review by Carl Jones, South Africa 09 September 2005 The room we stayed in was extremely spacious, by far the largest (most spacious) bedroom/bathroom combination we experienced in our 10 day trip from Johannesburg to Namaqualand and back. The rooms and linen were clean. Breakfast was as good as any we had experienced elsewhere. The real advantage we got from Amaziah was the value for money. The daily rate was very good for the facilities that were provided. Amaziah Guest House - a restful spot in the Kalahari! by Vicky Gasser, South Africa 05 October 2005 We enjoyed our stay at Amaziah. The room was lovely, big and clean (although not on honeymoon, it was a treat to have the honeymoon room!) , and we THOROUGHLY enjoyed the huge bath! Janelle, our hostess, made us feel welcome without smothering us! The breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip (and we stayed at five different places, while travelling in the north of South Africa)!
Thank you for making our stopover in Kuruman relaxing! Great stopover by Bennie Van Zyl, South Africa 07 September 2010 Overall a very nice place to stay en-route to somewhere. The breakfast served was outstanding and the rooms comfortable and clean. Beware the water in the bathroom is to standard and after a long journey cold shower water was unacceptable. The notice "if the water is cold the tap is to wide open" because of a gas geyser is not acceptable. If you close the tap the water does become hotter but the water constantly stops and the shower is cold. Unacceptable for the price by Ursula Rose, Germany 12 September 2012 Unfortunately, both the reception at the guest house was very unprofessional (I had to fill in all the guest details before the lady opened the gate to let my husband and our car into their grounds) and the room we got (your photo!) now looks onto a wall and not the garden. The room is very small and the furniture rickety and outdated. The bathroom really unacceptable for Rand 840. All the trimmings for 4 stars were there ( heated blankets, coffee and tea making utensils) but that certainly does not make up for the other shortcomings. To the right hand side of the entrance is a panel which says (guest parking) which was occupied by the owner's car while we had to carry our luggage across the gravel parking grounds to the room. All in all - not to be recommended and overpriced for what you get. AMAZIAH GASTENHUIS LOCATIE
