Tabanchu villa is centrally located in the heart of Stellenbosch. A mere 10min walk from Stellenbosch University, center of town and mountain trails. We invite you to come share the 2nd floor of our historic home. Its a private, secure location with off street parking. Ideally located for academics on sabbatical and close to schools. Stay includes an once off starter pack breakfast of fruit, yoghurt, muesli and coffee/tea.The space:Tabanchu villa is a double storey Victorian townhouse built in 1900 of which the top storey is available for short and long term rental accommodation. The unit includes three bedrooms (one queen size - , two single - and one single bed). Two bedrooms have air conditioning and the third has a ceiling fan. The open plan kitchen/lounge is fully equipped with a big fridge/freezer, microwave, stove/oven and tumble dryer. It also has air conditioning.The lounge has a flat screen television with DSTV premium and the unit has free Wifi. The bathroom, leading from the lounge, has a bath/shower and washing machine. There is a clothes iron, board, and drying rack and also a hair dryer.There is a quaint balcony with a lovely view of the area.Guest access:Guests will be given a remote that opens a pedestrian and motorcar gate and also activates their alarm. The unit has its own entrance which leads to a ground floor sitting area. The main bedrooms and living area are on the 2nd floor. Guests are welcome to use the swimming pool, provided it has sufficient water during current water restrictions, and barbecue (braai) in the backyard.Interaction with guests: We live in the bottom storey of the house and you can contact us directly, through our trained staff, via email or telephonically.Other things to note: Traffic in Stellenbosch along main routes (Dorp street, R44, R304) into and out of town become very congested around peak hours 8am and 5pm - especially on fridays. Try and plan around these times. Stellenbosch is currently imposing level 5 water restrictions, due to the current drought, and we ask your cooperation in adhering to these restriction and we apologise for any inconvenience.
