A place with a beautiful view where old charm meets nature, Belvedere-on-River is situated in Malelane on the Southern Bank of the meandering Crocodile River, with stunning views overlooking the Kruger National Park and regular sightings of the Big 5.

Malelane is situated on the N4 in the middle of the wild frontier within the Maputo corridor and close to the casinos of Swaziland. Belvedere-on-River is only four hours' drive from Gauteng and the Mozambique and Swaziland borders are only 35 to 60 km away. The Panorama Route, which includes towns like Graskop, Sabie, Hazyview and Pilgrims Rest, are also within easy driving distance.

Belvedere-on-River offers 4 Star bed and breakfast accommodation in luxurious double and single en-suite rooms. The rooms are furnished with old world charm and feature air-conditioning, TVs with selected DStv channels, minibar fridges and hairdryers. Within the tropical garden, with a swimming pool, quests can enjoy a tranquil atmosphere while overlooking the river and park from the gazebo.

The main attraction is the Kruger National Park but there is more to do in and around Malelane than visiting Kruger. You might also want to play golf at one of the local golf courses. Leopard Creek private golf estate is home to the annual Alfred Dunhill Championship where people like Ernie Els and Greg Norman own houses. Other golf courses include Komati, Malelane and Skukuza. You can also go tiger fishing on the Komati River, enjoy a microlight flight or a day trip to Mozambique.

Super place too stay

We had a wonderful stay. This establishment is beautiful with a wonderful view of the Crocodile River and the Kruger Park (very close to the Malelane gate). The staff were friendly and well informed. Edmund, our host was always available and nothing was to much.

High Class by

Excellent rest-over on your trip to KNP.
Beautifully  at the Crocodile river placed accommodation. Perfect hosting. High standard breakfast. If you want a place to start or end a perfect holiday, this is the place to be.


Wonderful setting by

We had 5 nights at Belvedere last week, superb rooms with real space and quality furnishings, excellent breakfast in the mornings with superb views. The view onto the river is an added bonus. Excellent facilities to braai, great service from Edmund. Looking forward to returning.
