Blue Gum Farm Cottage offers upmarket self-catering accommodation on a working wheat and sheep farm and is situated approximately an hour from Cape Town, between Caledon and Villiersdorp. The cottage comprises two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchenette, and an indoor fireplace.Villiersdorp, known as the "sleeping beauty of the Overberg", is a small town surrounded by rich farmlands and the nearby Theewaterskloof Dam - one of the largest in South Africa. Enjoy water sports, fishing or golf at the Theewaterskloof Country Club's 9-hole course, hiking trails in the Villiersdorp Nature Reserve, or visit the Wild Flower Garden and Nature Reserve for a spectacular array of fynbos, proteas and birdlife.

Absolutely wonderful! by

It was great being on the farm at wheat harvesting and sheep shearing time. As photographers we enjoyed the many photographic opportunities. Lizette was a wonderful hostess and made us very welcome. We will definitely go back there when we are in the area.

Totally tranquil by

This cottage is surrounded by beautiful valleys of fields of colour. It is so tranquil here at Blue Gum that it was a pity we didn't stay longer. Lizette has put so much love and care into this cottage; it has everything you need and the bed is extremely comfortable. Very clean, spacious and well-decorated, it felt luxurious! Definitely a place to unwind and catch up with your partner or friends. I can't wait to return.
