Blydevooruitsig is a beautiful old stone guest house with all the modern facilities. Gates give you access to the property and there is a double garage with direct access to the house. There is an open-plan kitchen with freshly baked rusks available, and a large living. Enjoy a quiet evening in the lounge with a fireplace as well as a TV.

This guest house offers self-catering in four bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms and self-catering facilities. Accommodation is affordable and comfortable, and bedrooms have crispy clean bedding, snuggle blankets and electric blankets. Guests are welcome to bring their own DStv. Wood is for sales at R25 per bag.

There is a large front garden where children can safely play while the adults enjoy relaxing on the patio.

Mention the town of Sutherland and most people will know that this is the place to look into outer space as it is filled with clear and dark night skies. Sutherland is one of the coldest towns in the country with frequent snow falls during winter. It is truly a beautiful sight to witness the looming Roggeveld Mountains bedecked in snow.

Lovely visit by

We loved our stay at Blydevooruitsig, and visit to Sutherland - from very educational SALT to entertaining Jurg. Everything was perfect. We would love to come back to Sutherland and will certainly choose Blydevooruitsig again. The kids loved the big yard and had loads of fun with their rugby- and soccer ball. Thank you to Hans the gardener for the perfectly neat yard. Even Chonga the doggie was delighted, and the woodpile under the braai kept him mesmerised and entertained - he must have sniffed something there that we were not aware of. There is nothing to fault. Thank you Eljoma.

WE AS A FAMILY OF 5 ADULTS AND 1 CHILD WERE OVERWHELMED BY THE SPACE AND HIGH STANDARD OF EVERYTHING ON OFFER. INSIDE BRAAI WITH LOW OUTSIDE TEMPERATURES AND RUSKS AVAILABLE WAS ENJOYED.
