Shirley and Hilton, the friendly owners of this establishment, have left no stone unturned to make the visit by my wife and I a memorable experience. As a break-away weekend from the rat-race, I cannot imagine any better destination. The view from the chalet is exquisite and we were even entertained with a dinner and game drive by our hosts one evening without any additional cost. I have already made my next tentative booking! It is rustic accommodation with an outdoor kitchen using a gas fridge and oven, a 'donkey' boiler for hot water and a solar battery for lighting. The views are amazing and it was very peaceful! Ren� Annandale, South Africa 10 August 2015 Boschfontein is a lovely getaway, but then you should travel to the farm and remain there for the full duration of your stay. The road to the farm is a bumpy dirt road, and the road from the farm house to the self-catering cottages is a 2km stretch of bad road for which you need at least an LDV. We were not prepared for no electricity; we stayed there in order to attend functions in Thabazimbi, which made preparations difficult.
