The historical Boven Trout Lodge, previously the Waterval Boven Hotel dating from the late 1800s, is a cosy and well-equipped self-catering lodge in beautiful, peaceful surroundings beneath South Hill, the imposing mountain that cradles this quaint village.
Boven Trout Lodge has 12 double en-suite rooms that are serviced daily and all have lovely views of the surrounding area.
A friendly cash bar is available.
Waterval Boven is in the triangle of one South Africa's finest fly-fishing areas, with Machadodorp, Belfast, Dullstroom and Lydenburg easily reachable. For those not keen on trout fishing, the lodge boasts a large pool and a spacious garden to relax in.
