Chameleon Lodge is a popular choice of tourists looking for the flexibility of self-catering accommodation; a continental style breakfast can be arranged on request, as it is only a 20 minute drive to Cape Town International Airport, 30 minutes from the hustle and bustle of central Cape Town, 15 minutes from historic Stellenbosch and its famous wine route and 45 minutes to Hermanus for whale watching.

Chameleon Lodge has a few luxury units with satellite TV, Wi-Fi, fans and heaters, hot water bottles, hairdriers, safes, fully equipped kitchens and barbecue facilities. The outdoor entertainment area includes an eco-friendly swimming pool.

In addition Matembe Leisure has luxury apartments on offer which are only 25 meters from the beach front in The Sandz building. Within Strand's CBD you hardly need to get into your car if lying on the beach and enjoying the sunshine is your thing.

We could not have had a nicer Christmas and New Year at Chameleon Lodge. Sandy and the family made us feel so welcome and they were very friendly and helpful. By the time we left we felt part of the family and would have absolutely no hesitation in returning with our children
