The resort offers a beautiful beach with a natural reef running all along the front, which makes it a safe swimming beach, registered launch site for boats and Jet Ski's. Fishing and boat licenses can be obtained from our reception

Our beach front houses range between six to 16 sleepers, the units have 24-hour electricity and are serviced. Most houses have private swimming pools and braai facilities. The beach front houses have wooden walkways to the unspoilt beach. There is a restaurant and shop on site with credit card facilities, as well as medical facilities on site.

During the winter months Chicuanga Resort is an ideal location for whale watching. The central location of the resort also makes it an ideal starting point for excursions in the area.

African Paradise by

Our stay at Chicuanga Resort was exceptional!!! We were greeted at the entrance boom by friendly staff who deflated our tyres in order to drive easier on the sand, which is 2x4 accessible. We booked in and were given our Villa keys and escorted to our unit. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly face who was our cleaner for the duration of our stay. His name is Domingos and what an absolute pleasure he was. He arranged for fresh fish and oysters from the locals to be delivered to our doorstep at a very reasonable price. He ensured our villa was clean and even helped us 'set up camp' on  the beach for the day. The Villa's layout was very nice and also extremely neat. Each room has an air conditioner, which was a bonus to keep the mozzies at bay. We had an outside shower which was lovely, especially in the hot an  humid weather. The Restaurant was also very nice, but a bit pricy to my opinion. We also got a bit stuck at the parking,so be sure to deflate tyres to 0.8 bar or park a bit further where the sand is more compact. Our villa had a pathway to the beach which was no more than 50m to the sea. What a pleasure!!! We also had a lovely view from our stoep where we were able to see whales breach. Threre is also a snorkelling site a mere 500m walk along the beach. Villa 107, what we stayed in, is Domingos responsibility and the effort he put in was amazing. Words cannot describe and it is a pity we cannot add photos.We were also surprised on the day of departure when we started carrying luggage to the vehicles, to see Domingos washing the bakkies. With no expectations or request to do so. Communication was difficult at times, but we always got to understand each other. Download a translating app to avoid struggling and do so beforehand, as the signal in the resort is not very good. The resort is a bit secluded, be sure to buy food etc. beforehand, as the drive to town is about 30min.

Absolutely Perfect Holiday Destination!! Best Holiday Ever. The View / Beach & Sea was awesome!! All staff at the resort is very friendly and helpful. House 402 is very neat and clean, very well situated.

running by the beach, fresh wind coming from the sea and the availabilty of Wi-Fe at the resturant by

the was no mirror and no Iron in the house. I did request an Iron but I was told they don't have.

Unspoiled beach by

We loved the beach, snorkeling, the uncrowded feeling and fresh pao's! Please pick. Up the litter on the beach from time to time.

Easter weekend by

Friendly staff with book in, but the moment you are in your villa and you have problems with, TV or otherwise their little to no service. Pictures is deceiving on website, what you see is not what you get in you're villa. If we book next time, a will ask for Current photos of villa, to make sure their is no confusion. On a positive note, the view is spectacular and the restaurant is a nice social place. The splash pool is also very nice.
