Crocodile Nest Bed and Breakfast is located on a citrus-exporting farm which lies alongside the N4. The farm offers a variety of accommodation options, ideal for a short or prolonged stay in the Lowveld. We offer accommodation set in an expansive tropical garden, and options include traditional rondavels, double and family rooms and neat wooden sleeper cabins. All units feature en-suite bathrooms as well as heaters and fans. Several units are also equipped with basic kitchen facilities. There are TVs in most of the units, although reception can be poor. Breakfast is available on request.We have a wonderful swimming pool for those hot, Lowveld summer days and a large barbecue and entertainment area. There is also plenty of parking area for trailers, boats, or larger vehicles. In addition, we have good security provided by an extensive electric fence, as well as an excellent security service back-up.Situated in the productive Crocodile River Valley, we are just just 10 minutes from Nelspruit. From here, you can plan interesting day outing itineraries to the Kruger National Park and many other Lowveld tourist attractions. Pet are allowed with prior arrangements.

"Rustic" accommodation. Cramped. If you get rustic you expect to pay rustic. This B&B is way over priced.

A Great Break Away! by

Review from my family: "We stayed in Room 1, which is a small but very cozy and comfortable 'rondawel'. We slept so comfortably on the double bed, that we didn't want to get up the following morning! The only major downside to our stay was that the water went off, so we couldn't shower properly. According to our understanding, the water tank which supplied water to the whole facility were empty and new water wasn't pumped in in a timely manner. Other than that one downside, we had a wonderful stay at Crocodile Nest!"

Review from my family: "We enjoyed the massive space provided by Cabin 5, as we have an 8 year old who is very active! She was so happy to be able to sleep on the top bed of the bunker. She called the top bed her "sleeping bed" and the bottom bed her "reading bed"! The kitchen is so well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. We had a major water problem on the Sunday morning, which was sad because it is overall such a wonderful place! But the staff was so kind and accommodating, they brought us a huge pot of water for bathing and making coffee! It is close to the venue of the wedding which we attended and everything was just perfect! This place reminds you of how important it is to get away every once in a while... We had a lovely time, thanks!"

We loved the friendliness of staff and owners - they were ready to advise on places to go and maps. Definately would recommend this place to stay - lovely gardens and secure location.

I think the cottages can be improved by putting couples into a room with a double bed, The bedding can also be improved to newer ones

Our Sleeper cabins are economy units which are generally used by guests looking for an economy rate. They are purpose-built for that and as such were available for the Innibos weekend, without the rates being increased for Innibos.

Please note that five of our ten rooms are in fact equipped with double, queen or king size beds, which is a high number considering the majority of our guests through the year are single travellers or guests who wish to share, but require single beds. Though we try, unfortunately we can't get it right all of the time.
