Situated in the heart of historic Stellenbosch lies De Oude Meul Guest House with its friendly service and warm atmosphere. You will feel welcome from the moment you enter the door. A better location from which to base yourself in Stellenbosch would be hard to find.

All of our beautifully decorated rooms have en-suite bathrooms and tea and coffee-making facilities, TVs and sunny balconies which are the perfect places to relax after exploring the Winelands. Guests are also free to make use of our Internet broadband service.

Park your car in our off-street parking area and explore the magic that Stellenbosch has to offer on foot. If you feel like a good dinner with famous South African hospitality, the guest house is only minutes away from several excellent eateries. Just ask us and we will point you in the right direction. Shopping is even closer and there is a boutique wine shop located right across the street. Should you wish to explore some of the world-famous vineyards and sample some of the wines produced, we will be more than happy to assist you with the arrangements.

Arno is a very good host and was most helpful. Our room was very comfortable and clean, we enjoyed our stay. It is also very convenient to be in the centre of Stellenbosch.

Small hidden B&B in the centre of Stellenbosch by

De Oude Meul is a small hidden B&B conveniently located above an antique shop in the centre of Stellenbosch, on the corner of Mill St and Dorp St. I booked a Budget Twin Room as a single, which was small, even for one, but had a lovely shared balcony with view of the corner of Mill St and Dorp St. Parking is available a few blocks away in Dorp St.

Oude Meul- NEVER AGAIN by

No air-con, no sat-tv or wi-fi even though we booked and paid for it. Unhelpful staff. The place was not clean, the door could not lock properly. It was totally unacceptable, leaving us no choice but to find alternative accommodation. Very disappointed as this was a opportunistic effort to rip-off guests booking on-line. STAY AWAY!!
