This 2500-hectare bio-diversified farm is privately owned and nestled between the majestic Swartberg and Outeniqua Mountains on the banks of the Olifants River. We are located on one of the world's 17 hotspots with three overlapping flower zones and only 7 km from Oudtshoorn on the R328, opposite the Safari Ostrich Farm.

The colonial-style main lodge has lush gardens and open verandas leading to 21 stylish fully equipped and air-conditioned rooms. Four rustic Waterfront Cabins & 3 private cottages (with their own pool) ideal for a romantic getaway, are located a short drive away.

Guests can enjoy our inventive and delicious traditional cooking with a Karoo twist and compliment evening meals with wines from our very own cellar. Facilities/Activities include self-guided walks, canoeing, fishing, biking-bikes to rent, a saltwater pool , massages, free wi fi , as well as meerkat tours on the reserve by our guide, Devey. Bookings are essential.

The accommodation and service were of a very high standard. The guesthouse is in a very peaceful location, despite being close Oudtshoorn.

Lovely place! by

Lovely place - very peaceful with lovely views and lots of birdlife nearby, and very helpful friendly people there. If you go, make sure youdo the Meerkat Tour as you will learn a huge amount about Oudtshoorn (and meerkats!).

Friendly staff by

We had a lovely stay at the De Zeekoe Guest Farm. Friendly staff and the rooms were really luxurious and well equipped. We were however disappointed by the fact that there was only SABC 1 and 2 in the rooms and that in the main lounge there was a very limited satellite package. In addition we felt that the dinner was over priced for what we got and the fact that we needed to order dinner when we checked in was also not ideal.
