Guests can enjoy numerous great activities in and around the area, such as horse riding and 4x4 trails, as well as the local museum.

Dissapointed by

Never stayed there in the end, for some reason something went wrong on the day of check-in and advised to go elsewhere (sub-standard, offensively so). Found alternate accommodation where unfortunately could not get the warm water going (gas geyser). Could not star rate below as I did not stay there but for the sake of completing selected lowest rating which should equate to "could not assess".

Not quite what we expected by

I would like to start this review with saying that Marne was very accommodating with a lunchtime check-in, and also that it was lovely to arrive to a warm fireplace on a cold day, as well as enough wood for a few hours. We also found the beds to be warm and comfortable. However, our stay at Die Heks se Huis was not quite what we expected. According to the website the cottage contains a coffee machine, toiletries as well as a hairdryer - but none of these were in the cottage. There was also no washing up liquid, or cloth to clean counters after cooking (we have found that self catering establishments always offer these facilities so that guests can leave the space clean and tidy). The outlet for the water from the basin in the kitchen, goes out directly into the yard where one parks your car, so when we were ready to load our car in the morning, there was dirty water right in the area where we were loading. The bathroom has no space to put down any toiletries or clothes (apart from two hooks on the door). Apart from those things, we were comfortable during our stay.
