Die Ou Familie Strandhuis is a big beach house overlooks the river and is located in the seaside village of Stilbaai, just 800 m from the main beach.

The house has five bedrooms furnished with comfortable double or single beds which share the use of two bathrooms, one of which has a bath and shower. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven and fridge, and guests can enjoy their meals at the dining table. A washing machine is located in the scullery for convenience. The big lounge is comfortably furnished and equipped with a TV, and it has an indoor braai area. Safe parking is provided.

Stilbaai offers a range of activities such as bathing, angling, windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing, canoeing and various hiking trails. Stilbaai has a rich marine life in the river estuary and a remarkably large variety of birds are located on the migratory whale route, which boasts the highest gathering of whales in the world between July and October every year. The village also has a unique eel species which are hand fed.

A great stay by

This lovely old house is perfect for a chilled out holiday with your family, thank you Margaret



Location wise it is great as its close to the lagoon and can walk to the beach. Would be good for large groups as loads of space. Is an old farmhouse so has long corridor with rooms coming off it- pictures look like the kitchen is with the lounge but it is on the other side of the house. Was freezing cold! But they did supply heaters. Lovely huge grass areas which was fabulous for the kids. All you need for a long weekend holiday house with children.
