Dunlin Bed and Breakfast is situated in Paul Roux, a small town located in the flatlands of the Free State province of South Africa. The town was established in 1909 by Dutch Reform Reverend Paul Roux and former South African president PW Botha was born in Paul Roux in 1916. Most streets remain unsurfaced and the town has a character of a time gone by.

Dunlin Bed and Breakfast is a typical old eastern Free State building, decorated with antiques and vintage furniture, and offers four en-suite bedrooms. Three of the rooms feature double beds and the fourth features a single and a three-quarter-size bed. All of the rooms contain TVs, electric blankets and tea and coffee-making facilities.

It was great! The owners were very friendly and we felt very much at home. The rooms are very well equipped. The food was okay, but not great. It is good value for money though and we will recommend it.

We had the most wonderful warm welcome to Dunlin B& B. Theuns and Carolise thank you so much for the wonderful and comfortable stay. I really appreciated you coming to greet us when we got in at night to make sure that everything was fine with us young girls. The hospitality and food was first class. Will definitely see you in the future.

Theuns is a warm and welcoming host as well as being an avid collector. Dunlin was able to serve us supper which was most welcome. We enjoyed sitting by a warm fire on a very cold evening. It was chilly in the bedroom and we hesitated to switch on the wall panel as it was cracked. Luckily there was an electric blanket but unluckily it was a single so only one half of the bed was warm! Enjoyed having breakfast at their adjoining property the Pink Tricycle Tea Room, also full of curiosities and very friendly staff.
