In 2014 the EarthRise Mountain Lodge was redefined as an eco-lodge & convening space to reimage the country of our dreams. It is a social enterprise & it's profits will go back into building a self sustainable community which is able to grow it's own food & support the establishment of village enterprises in Naledi as well as Franshoek Villages.
Today Eagle Valley is host to the Lodge, a large conference & wedding venue, the Naledi Art & Community Centre, a wood mill, a brick making plant & honey farm. The Naledi Farmers Coop is cultivating 5 hectares of produce & the village has built it's own school as well as creche.
The lodge is also currently running an eco worm farm, collecting worm tea & vermicasting both for use by the village as well as an income. The lodge is currently establishing a vegetable garden , plant nursery & indigenous medicinal garden.
Inside the beautiful stone lodge you can collect your thoughts at the roaring fire place or enjoy a delicious meal from the restaurant. The lodge also has a fully stocked bar for the perfect sundowner. We also have a library of books to either borrow or buy. In summer months take the time to enjoy a wonderful swim in our pool while enjoying the views of the mountains.
While in Eagle Valley experience the beauty of mother nature, the spiritual energy of the stunning mountain landscape & the chance to stair at the wonderous milky way. Enjoy all of this while supporting a community building its own destiny, one step at a time, deepening our democracy.

A wonderful location with beautiful surroundings. Very friendly hosts. Warm and comfortable accommodation with delicious Thai food and an entertaining Thai chef. A few interesting farm animals .....like Lilly the Vietnamese Pot belly pig!

Great scenery! Good food, we had a very pleasant stay and found the staff very courteous and friendly. Will definitely try to go again. Our visitors from Holland loved it. Definitely a family lodge.

We had a wonderful stay at the twin peaks. The unit is really nice and cozy and the view is magnificent. Our dog enjoyed the walks even more than we did. We are definitely coming back and I'll recommend this place to anyone.
