This cottage was originally constructed by the workers who build Cape Town harbour and is a historical building and under heritage protection. It has been lovingly restored while retaining its original character. In keeping with the historic character, the cottage has been furnished with lovingly selected items new and old.

The cottage has a L-shape lounge/dining area with a sleeper couch and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with an espresso machine, kettle, toaster, microwave, stove, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and even a cooler bag for beach picnics. The lounge has a TV with DVD player and a few DVDs, games and books. The little Scullery is equipped with a washing machine, ironing board and iron.

A cleaner comes once a week. She will change and wash sheets and towels. Daily cleaning is available upon request. Beach Towels are in the bedroom wardrobe. Bathroom towels are in the bathroom cabinet.
