Epupa & Ovahimba Experience is a four-day guided safari that departs from Sesfontein in Namibia. This tour runs during the wet season from December to March. Participants will be able to visit the Ovahimba settlements, explore Kaokoland, and have a first-hand experience of the wonders of the Epupa Waterfalls.
The package includes all transport as per the itinerary's routing, accommodation on a shared basis, meals as specified in the itinerary, activities and park fees as specified in the itinerary, and mineral water.
The package excludes expenses of a personal nature, i.e. laundry, telephone expenses, gratuities and other personal purchases, all drinks, personal as well as medical and evacuation insurance, and any additional activities.
DAY 1:
Early morning breakfast and departure from the Palmwag Lodge. Head north towards Opuwo, the capital of Kaokoland and the Kunene Province. After a brief stop in Opuwo head further north past the settlement of Okangwati into a picturesque mountain range where camp for the night is erected. Various encounters with local Ovahimba herdsmen and their families en route.

DAY 2:
Today the safari reaches its prize destination, the Epupa Falls on the mighty Kunene River, which forms the border between Namibia and Angola. Enough time is spent exploring the majestic falls on an adventurous walk followed by a swim in one of the upper rapids of the falls. Camp is pitched on the banks of the Kunene River.

DAY 3:
After an early morning walk along the falls pack up camp and drive along the river bank exploring this fascinating area. Travel along the river through mountains and valleys.
Wild camping under the tall palm trees growing on the river banks on a full board basis.
DAY 4:
Pack up camp and head back to Palmwag Lodge via Opuwo and Sesfontein. Lunch stop en route with a brief visit to the Ongongo Waterfall. Late afternoon arrival at the lodge to settle down for a relaxing sundowner.
